87 Sweet Years of Tradition began on October 28, 1928, when the first can of Golden Eagle Syrup was produced in Fayette, Alabama by Mr. and Mrs. Victor Patterson, Sr. They developed our recipe after experimenting with various mixtures of corn syrup, cane syrup, molasses and honey in an effort to find one that not only was delicious, but also mild to the digest compared to the harsh pure can syrups and back-strap molasses of the early 1900s.
Since then, Golden Eagle Syrup has become a favorite for generations of families. That same quality syrup is still produced in Fayette, Alabama today. Though Golden Eagle Syrup is no longer owned by the Patterson family, the Patterson's dream of providing a premium syrup like no other remains the commitment of our company.
